The deeper meaning behind my story
I began coaching and writing when I realized how much coaching had changed my own life. I went from living a life where I felt I had no control as a young, insecure child—to a life where I finally understood that I could create my own reality.
When I finally felt seen, it changed everything. So I believe fully seeing another mother—and helping her truly see herself—is the first step in stopping her being pulled in all directions. That’s when she can finally find fulfillment by creating a life that’s aligned with her desires.
This doesn’t happen overnight. But it CAN happen. And it can be easier than you think.
Here’s what I mean…

The little things are everything
It’s maybe a bit ironic that moving to hot, sunny Florida with my family from my native Denmark made me truly appreciate hygge – that “cozy” word that everyone now associates with fuzzy blankets, steaming mugs and glowing candles.
But that’s exactly what it did. Life with children is full of surprises, isn’t it? 😉
Back in Denmark, we would all gather together for a meal or snack a few times a day. It was nothing fancy, we just took a break and sat around the table, chatting, eating or drinking, checking in.
But during the move, it was really busy – new country, new jobs, new home, new everything. I felt very alone, with so much to do. In my overwhelm, I couldn’t find a way to take the breaks with my children and gather around the table to “hygge” with them.
Boy did they notice! After a couple of weeks, my oldest son, who was eight, wrote me a note. It said, “Remember to hygge today.” He had drawn a picture of his sister, his brother, and himself with thought bubbles that had symbols in them for what they were thinking and wishing I would do.
Wow. How simple it can be to connect, but also how easy it can be to lose connection when we stop paying attention. And how this can be true not only for our relationships, but our lives overall. This really showed me how important the seemingly “little” things can be.

The power of small, daily choices
It also showed me that the real power of hygge comes not *only* from connection, but from elevating simple daily activities with intention and gratitude. This has a beautiful ripple effect on the mood of your day, the tone of your relationships, the trajectory of your life.
This ripple effect, and this tuning in to the power of seemingly simple everyday actions, has become the core of my coaching philosophy.
In my books and in my 1:1 coaching program, you can learn more about how making some small—but meaningful—choices about how you live your daily life, can put you on the path to the life you really want.
Small doesn’t always mean easy—but it creates possibility. And that can be very powerful…

Charlotte believes that for all of us, fulfilling our dreams is closer than we think.
Each of us each has our own particular desires for a reason — and the friendly energy of the universe is here to support us. We only need to align with that energy – in thoughts, beliefs and actions – to manifest the life of our dreams. It’s not magic. It’s mindset. And it works.

When she’s not helping other moms find purpose, balance and fulfillment she enjoys being at the beach and in nature, interior decorating, painting, cooking, reading, listening to inspiring podcasts and spending time with family and friends.
